The Board of Education is deeply engaged in developing its 2017/18 operating budget. The process started in the budget and finance subcommittee meetings that began in July of 2016.
The agendas/minutes for those meetings along with those of all our committees are on our website on the Board of Education page.
On January 9th, the committee presented budget projections for technology, Infrastructure (i.e. hardware leases, equipment needs,) facilities and transportation.
You may review the 1/9/17 presentation in our archives. The Budget & Finance Committee will continue to present recommendations to the full board for deep review, and a preliminary budget will be created and presented for public comment. Your input is most valuable and will influence the final budget we present to the Board of Selectmen (BOS) by the end of February. The BOS will then review the budget and make recommendations to the Board of Finance (BOF.) The BOF will hold a public hearing on the budget and present a final budget for a public referendum.
