Ridgefield Tigers Varsity Hockey Team Wins CIAC Division 1 State Title!

Congratulations to Ridgefield Tigers Varsity Hockey Team and coaches for winning the CIAC Division 1 State Title, 6-2, over top-seed Northwest Catholic! We are Ridgefield proud!

The #2 seed Tigers set the tone early in last night's game scoring three goals (Cullinan, van Wees and Pracella) in under 30 seconds the first period and then sealed the deal with three goals in the third period (Forrest, Stafford and van Wees) to give Ridgefield their first-ever Division 1 Boys Hockey State Championship. As always, Senior goalie Sean Keegans was instrumental saving over 30 shots. Northwest Catholic was only able to put-up two goals in the second, although they continued to play hard until the end, making it a very exciting game.

The Ridgefield Tigers ended the season 24-2-0 with both the FCIAC and State titles.

The Ridgefield and hockey communities were out in force to cheer on the Tigers with many former players wearing their old hockey gear.
