The Ridgefield High School Class of 2017 Post Grad Party Planned for Friday, June 23

Since 1983, one of those activities has been the Annual RHS Post Graduation Party. This event provides a wholesome and safe environment where our children can celebrate a momentous occasion in their lives and is the highlight of senior year and a true rite of passage at Ridgefield High School. It is an all night, parent chaperoned, alcohol-free event held at the Ridgefield Parks and Rec Center.

Volunteers are always needed!

Working on the Post Graduation party is a terrific and tremendously rewarding job. It’s always fun to throw a party. The mood is high, the creativity is amazing and the students genuinely appreciate all that is done. Many of you began your school days as room parents, helping to organize and plan classroom parties in elementary school. Consider ending your school days by helping to organize the biggest party of them all – the RHS Post Graduation Party!

Volunteers are not limited to RHS parents/guardians. We are happy to include adult (over  21) members of the Ridgefield Community who wish to donate their time, energy and/or creativity.

160 pairs of hands are needed the day of the event to help this party run smoothly.

There are two shifts for which you may volunteer.

  • Shift 1 – 9:15 pm – 1:00 am (Fills up fast, please consider shift 2)
  • Shift 2 – 1:00 am – 4:00 am

There are also Decorating tasks and set up work that are on a different schedule.  This can be anytime during the months before the event, up until the day of.

We generally have many senior parent volunteers and we are very happy to have them. This is an extremely important and busy day for these families, however, and many are not able to help out.  That is why we urge our undergraduate parents to volunteer, to ensure we have the staffing required to make this event happen. In a few years or sooner, it will be your turn and you will want your graduate to have the opportunity to have fun, while spending the night at a safe and well-organized event like this. Underclass parents, we’re counting on you!

Want to volunteer?

If you would like to help with the RHS Post Graduation Party, please contact us and let us know what your preferable shift is.

Party donations needed to make the event a success!

There is NO CHARGE to the graduating seniors to attend this event. The Post Grad Committee raises all the funds to meet the cost of this party.  Although the senior parents typically account for 70% of the funds raised, the committee depends on the rest of the funds to be donated by the RHS Community.
