Professional dancer turned OrthoConnecticut physician talks injury prevention at Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance

Professional dancer turned OrthoConnecticut physician, Dr. Daniel Southern, M.D., will offer an Injury Prevention talk at Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance on Thursday, October 5 from 7-8pm. This informative lecture is part of the RCD dance curriculum and open to all dancers in levels IV, V, and VI who currently enrolled at RCD.

“It is very important for students who dance at RCD to have anatomical and biomechanical knowledge that will benefit their overall training and lifestyle,” explains Ballet Master and Director of RCD’s Nutcracker, Alexander Glaz.

The interactive lecture will include subjects such as proper alignment, cross training, growth spurs, pointe work strength, stamina, and muscle endurance.
