RVNA Holds Annual Meeting & Gives Thanks for Community Support

What has truly become a continuum of care, from birth to end-of-life, and every life-event in between, the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) is the epicenter of healing, hope, and renewal for residents of Fairfield County, New Haven County and Litchfield County.

At the agency’s Annual Meeting and Incorporators' Reception, Chair of the Board of Directors, Vicki Mueller, Theresa Santoro, RVNA CEO, together with Alice Meenan, Director of Donor Relations, and MJ Heller, Director of Philanthropy, spoke to the one hundred plus incorporators and supporters about the agency’s significant growth, community outreach, and expert and comprehensive care; the cornerstones of RVNA’s new state of the art facility on Governor Street.

Santoro spoke about the agency’s significant growth and the stellar staff of 350 RVNA employees and 200 plus volunteers.  “Nursing visits and Rehab visits have increased and, for the sixth consecutive year, the RVNA has been named a Top Workplace by Hearst Media,” said Santoro.

Rehab by RVNA, located in the lower level of RVNA, as has grown by leaps and bounds since its launch last year.  Also booming is the RVNA’s Nutrition Program, spearheaded by Meg Whitbeck MS, RDN, RVNA’s registered dietitian and nutrition educator. Whitbeck has launched a series of popular nutrition classes and workshops which she conducts in the RVNA’s state-of-the-art teaching kitchen.

Looking ahead, the RVNA will introduce advanced healthcare technology in the home, and will add Hospice services to their continuum of care.

The event culminated with the Incorporators Reception catered by Nancy Burke Catering, and sponsored by Webster Bank. Attendees mingled enjoying fine wine, d'oeuvres, and camaraderie.

Thank you to the RVNA for your continued growth and success and for truly being the heart of our community.
