Dreaming of a white Christmas?

If you're dreaming of a white Christmas, you'll be happy to know that snow is in the forecast. Traveling to over the river and through the woods to grandma's house? Be prepared for potentially slick roadways. 

Here's the latest weather forecast from NWS Meteorologist, Gary Conte:

Friday morning through Saturday morning for Orange and Putnam Counties east across interior Southern CTA Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for light snow and sleet gradually changing to light freezing rain Friday afternoon. Snow accumulations of less than 1 inch and ice accumulations of less than 1/10 of an inch are forecast. Temperatures rising to around 32 degrees.  Prepare for slick travel.

Friday morning through Saturday evening across the Coast – Rain with temperatures above 32 degrees.  Rainfall amounts between ¾- and 1 ¼-inch.  Prepare for wet travel.

Saturday night through Sunday morning – Temperatures will fall below 32 degrees northwest of NYC.  Prepare for developing slick spots.

Christmas Eve through Christmas morning – Snow is likely, possibly starting as rain along the coast. Possible accumulations will range from a dusting to a few inches area wide as temperatures fall into the upper 20s and low 30s Christmas morning.

Christmas afternoon and evening – Temperatures will range from the mid-upper 30s, melting accumulated snow.

Late Christmas night – Prepare for developing slick spots as temperatures fall below 32.
