Shawn Lipson of Ridgefield has died at 53

Shawn Brooke Lipson, age 53, of Ridgefield, loving mother of two daughters, Brynna Lane Lipson and Neeleigh Eliza Lipson, a son, Braeden Anthony Lipson, and wife of Stuart J. Lipson, died on Saturday, July 19, 2014 surrounded by her family at their home. Mrs. Lipson was born in Winona, Minnesota October 15, 1960, a daughter of Nell Anthony Linahan of Scottsdale, Arizona and the late William Linahan.

She was raised in Winona, attended Winona schools, Winona High School and then California State University-North Ridge where she attained her Bachelor degree in Radio, Television Broadcasting and Production. Upon her graduation she joined American Broadcasting Corp. (ABC) and later Warner Bros. Entertainment (Lorimar Telepictures) where she was a Casting Director for shows including Full House and Knots Landing. Most recently she was Director of Operations and Human Resources at CGSM Inc. and Your Cover LLC in Wilton CT.

A resident of Ridgefield since 1990, Mrs. Lipson was a longtime leader of the Brownies and Girl Scouts as well as a volunteer at Scotland Elementary School. She loved being a fulltime mom and created extraordinary travel adventures for her family to places including Alaska, Greece, Germany, Spain, Italy, Bermuda, Mexico and Honduras.

In addition to her children, husband and mother, Mrs. Lipson is survived by her brother, Todd Linahan of Fresno, California; and two sisters, Kim Lee of Prior Lake, Minnesota, and Shannon Linahan of Scottsdale, Arizona. In addition to her father, Mrs. Lipson was predeceased by her sister Leigh.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a time and place to be announced. There will be no calling hours.
