SAVE THE DATE: The Lewisboro Library Fair is September 20!

The 54th annual Lewisboro Library Fair will be held rain or shine, on Saturday, September 20 from 10 am to 4 pm at Onatru Farm.

The Fair highlight is the Book Sale, but it also features "Attic Treasures" and Toy sales, a silent auction, food, music, vintage cars, kids' games, local vendors, Battle of the Bakers and an amazing corn maze.

The Fair Pre-Sales, also held at Onatru Farm, are a great warm-up to Fair Day. The Book and Toy Pre-Sale, for residents only, is Thursday, September 18 from 5 to 9 pm. The Book Pre-Sale continues Friday, September 19 from 9 am until 4 pm. New to the Fair last year were the popular Sporting Equipment and Formal Wear Pre-Sales, which will return again this fall.

Volunteers - The Fair is our major fundraiser for the year. All proceeds go directly into our operating budget, which funds new materials and programs to benefit the entire community. To help the Fair run smoothly WE NEED VOLUNTEERSboth before and on Fair Day. If you are available to help collect donations at Onatru on Saturday mornings in August and on September 6 or work at the Book Pre-Sale or Fair, please sign up at the library or via this Volunteer Link. There are many opportunities to volunteer for people of all ages. It's a great way to meet people if you are new to the area and for teens to get community service hours.

Vendors & Community Groups - Do you have a small business selling jewelry, crafts, home services, etc.? The Library Fair has a limited number of vendor spaces available for $80 plus an optional table/chair rental fee. Community organizations do not need to pay for a space, but can pay the optional $20 table/chair rental fee. Showcase your business or organization at this popular Fair! Click here to download Vendor and Community forms to reserve your spot. For more info contact Christine McKenna at christine86@verizon.net.

Sponsors Needed - The Library needs the support of local businesses and individuals to underwrite the costs of producing the Fair, such as tent rentals, food and music, so more proceeds can go directly to the operating budget. If you are interested in being a named sponsor, please contact Gary Page at gpage@gpage.com.

Wanted: Books, Toys and "Attic Treasures" - Donations of books, toys and items for the Fair's Attic Treasures Tag Sale will be accepted on Saturdays August 2, 9, 16 & 23, and on September 6. Donations can be dropped off at Onatru Farm from 10 am to noon on these days only. Books must be in good condition (i.e. no mildew). No condensed books, encyclopedias or magazines. For Attic Treasures we are seeking gently used furniture, toys, bicycles, artwork, kitchen and sports equipment. (This year we are in particular need of Halloween decorations to use in the Halloween-themed corn maze, so keep that in mind when sorting through your attic.) We cannot accept upholstered furniture, computers and accessories, televisions, stuffed animals or exercise machines.
