Marion E. Meury

Marion E. Meury, 81, of Ridgefield, wife of the late George E. Meury, died on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Danbury Hospital. Mrs. Meury, a daughter of Frederick and Margaret (Gustafson) Suden was born in Stamford, CT, June 3, 1933. She attended Stamford schools. She was a former customer service representative, employed at first by CL&P, then the former Fairfield County Bank and later Boehringer Ingelheim.

A resident of Ridgefield for the past fifty years coming from Stamford, Mrs. Meury was a member of AARP, O.W.L.S. and Founders Hall. Traveling through the Panama Canal, to Alaska and Hawaii as well as bus trips was her past time enjoyment in addition to gardening and actively supporting her favorite charities. Mrs. Meury is survived by a daughter, Kathryn L. Perkins of Lawrence, NJ; a sister, Eleanon Suden of Bridgeport, CT and a granddaughter, Nicole Trueman and her husband, William. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Kenneth Meury and by a sister, Ruth Oliver who died on July 3rd.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 11:30 AM in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield with the Rev. Dr. Charles Hambrick-Stowe officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgebury Cemetery, Ridgefield. The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 4PM to 7PM.
