HamletHub chats with Ridgefielder Tonja Walker

A conversation with Tonja Walker

This Friday I had a wonderful and engaging conversation with the lovely Tonja Walker whom you might know from the classic soap operas General Hospital (photo shows Walker in red dress as Olivia), and One Life To Live.

I spoke with Tonja about her current position as a real estate agent at Coldwell Banker, her future acting and filmmaking projects, and her involvement with the health and wellness company, Arbonne International.

1. How are things going at Coldwell Banker?

Answer: I'm loving Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.  I have a few beautiful listings, and lots of buyers I'm working with too. Recently, I began working with American Lifestyle TV as a co-producer/host of a web based program, that brings their articles to life, adding more value to the readers of the magazine and the realtors who buy it for their customers. You'll soon be able to see me on the American Lifestyle website as a host. It will look like an HGTV type show.

2. Explain how real estate lead you to becoming the District Manager for Arbonne

Answer: I was doing a sunset open house at one of my listings in Ridgefield, I'm always trying new ideas to sell homes. I brought in food, wine, etc. My friend Sharon Sweet offered to bring some Arbonne products over including the nutritional milkshakes and the most delicious protein bars. Sharon brought the makeup and skin care products too and I fell madly in love with the all of it!  Sharon suggested that I sell the products. I did and the rest as they say is history!

4. Any new acting gigs on the horizon?

Answer: I'm waiting to see whether Tainted Dreams, the last soap opera I shot, gets picked up. I'm also in consideration for two plays in New York so we'll see how that goes.

5. How about directing? The last movie you made The Derby Stallion made a nice amount of dough at the box office. Will we see a a Tonja Walker made production sometime soon?

Answer: There is a gentleman I saw being interviewed and I would like to see if I can get his life story. It's not Schindler's List, but it's a very warm inspirational story about a man who is 105, and he helped save thousands of children during the holocaust. We'll see what happens.
