UPDATE: WCSU back to normal operation; Bomb threat considered hoax

UPDATE (SEPTEMBER 19, 3:45 P.M.): From Western Connecticut State University:  All buildings on both campuses have returned to normal operation. The initial evacuation was prompted by a hoax bomb threat.

Breaking: Several buildings at Western Connecticut State University have been evacuated on Friday afternoon because of a "developing emergency situation." "There is a developing emergency situation on campus that has necessitated the evacuation of several buildings," WCSU tweeted, "These buildings have been evacuated & locked down until further notice: Midtown Student Center, Newbury Hall, Haas Library, University Hall". According to a WCSU spokeswoman, an email was intercepted by the school's webmaster stating that bombs were planted at the four midtown campus buildings.
