Letter to the Editor: Aldrich Museum gives thanks to Ridgefield Community

Dear Editor:

Last Thursday, three Ridgefield businesses and approximately 150 guests combined forces to raise over $12,000 for education programs at The Aldrich. I want to personally thank Amy Pal and Corey Londoner of JoyRide, Lisa Hemingray Savone of Lucy’s, and Adam Broderick, of Adam Broderick Salon & Spa—as well as all of their committed teams—for conceiving of and producing this event.

The Ridgefield community is of paramount importance to The Aldrich, and we are grateful that these local business owners recognize our efforts to present innovative, relevant, and inspiring educational programming that is centered around artists and their work on view at the Museum. We believe that the skills acquired at The Aldrich help children to learn in every field of study, foster self-confidence, and encourage curiosity.

I invite all Ridgefield residents to visit the Museum before the year end, and to engage in the innovative experiences we offer creative families in our community, such as Third Saturdays, a monthly discovery-based, artist-led, family workshop series which is always free for members and children under 18. Also, don't miss a brand-new family tour that will offer adventures in color, form, and process, plus unique access to a dynamic curator, on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, from 11 am to 12:30 pm.

Once again, my thanks to our community for supporting education opportunities at The Aldrich. See you at the Museum!

Sincerely,

Alyson Baker
