RHS Grad Ally Dykes Leads Roger Williams Rugby Team to National Championship

Ally Dykes (bottom row, third from the right), co-captain of the Roger Williams Women's Rugby team, helped lead her team to the National Championship in Cherry Hill, New Jersey this weekend. 

The Lady Hawks beat Minnesota State University, the Region 4 Western Champions in a close match, advancing to the championship match to be played Sunday, November 23rd against the Region 1 Northeast Champions, Sacred Heart University.  The game will be streaming live at www.nscro.org.

A senior at Roger Williams, Ally has played rugby for four years and has played in the National Championship Tournament three times. The Hawks came in second in 2012.  Last semester Ally studied abroad in Australia and played rugby for the James Cook University team.  Ally is an Environmental Science major and is planning to enter the Peace Corps after graduation in the Spring.
