RHS Grad Ally Dykes Helps Roger Williams Lady Hawks Win Women’s Small College National Rugby Championship

On Sunday, Roger Williams University Lady Hawks beat Sacred Heart University to win the Women’s Small College National Rugby Championship in Cherry Hill, New Jersey 45 – 10.  The Championship caps a remarkable season where the Hawks went undefeated during the regular season and undefeated in the playoffs as well. 

During the regular season the Hawks outscored their opponents 417 - 32. Tom Campbell coached the RWU Hawks to the championship tournament three years in a row.  The Hawks were runner ups in 2012, came in 3rd in 2013 and persevered to win the National Championship for the 2014 season. 

Ally Dykes, a 2011 graduate of Ridgefield High School, is a Senior at RWU and is expected to graduate with honors in the Spring.  She was one of fifteen women from the championship tournament to be named to the National All Star Team.
