Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) is organizing an informative talk on March 11 intended for senior citizens on the subject of “How to protect your life’s savings and lifestyle.” Danbury-based attorneys Thomas E. Murphy, Esq. and Michele F. Murphy, RN, MSN, Esq. will address how to afford long term care using trusts to protect assets, qualifying for Veterans Affairs Aid & Attendance pensions, and Medicaid home care benefits. Attendees will also learn how to protect their lifestyle and life’s savings, extend their ability to afford home care and assisted living, and avoid running out of funds. This event, which will take place on Wednesday, March 11, from noon to 1:30 pm, is open to the public. Lunch will be provided by Glen Crest. Attendees should RSVP to Glen Crest at 203-790-9161. About the Presenters
Attorney Thomas E. Murphy, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Pace University School of Law, is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, as well as the Elder Law Section and the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. He is also an accredited attorney with Veterans Affairs and a frequent lecturer in the local community on Elder Law subjects.
