Editor's note: we received a call today asking if we would promote a Car Show in memory of Yonkers resident, Bill Geller. Bill's sister shared Bill's story and tragic death in 2013. She explained how Bill's family and friends are keeping his memory alive by organizing the Annual Bill Geller Car Memorial Show (Bill was crazy about cars!) The show will take place at Temple Beth Elohim in Brewster where Bill attended services.
The Annual Bill Geller Memorial Car Show will take place on Sunday, June 28 from 10 am to 4pm in Brewster
Bill's story:
Bill grew up in Yonkers, graduated from Roosevelt High School, and went on to earn a BFA from The School of Visual Arts. He brought joy, laughter, life, and hope wherever he went. A loving husband to Sheri, a doting dad to Max, a devoted son and brother, Bill was also a gifted artist, graphic designer, and singer, with a passion for vintage cars. With great pride and attention to every detail, he restored his 1967 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia.
Bill was tragically killed on February 16, 2013, struck by a car as he was walking on Route 22 in Golden's Bridge. We want to keep Bill Geller’s memory and his legacy alive—we want to preserve all that he represented to his family and to his friends, to the community, to his synagogue, to his profession, and to his many interests and causes. To reach that goal, we are organizing the Second Annual Bill Geller Memorial Car Show, to be held on Sunday, June 28, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Temple Beth Elohim in Brewster.
We would like to request your help in one or more of the following ways and we thank you in advance for your generosity and for your participation. You can support this event by:
· Taking a table at the event. You will have the opportunity to distribute literature, and other materials from your organization.
· Providing gifts for our goodie bags.
· Making a donation. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

- OPEN TO SPECTATORS: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- JUDGING: 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- TROPHIES PRESENTATION: 3:30 p.m.
