Norwalk Hospital Pharmacist to Give Talk at RVNA

The Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) presents the 4th in a free six-lecture series featuring topics of interest to senior citizens and their families on Wednesday, June 3.  The topic of the evening is pharmacists and the role they play in senior health.  The presenter is Dr. Krista Katers, PharmD, BCPS, pharmacist at Norwalk Hospital.  She will discuss pharmacists’ advancements, the role of pharmacists in different healthcare settings, the Pharmacy Practice Model Initiative, and the role that pharmacists play in geriatric healthcare.  She will also identify ways that you can improve your medication management and develop relationships with your pharmacist. 

This presentation, and all of the upcoming Spring Education Series, will be held at the RVNA office, located at 90 East Ridge in downtown Ridgefield.  A light dinner will be served at 5:30 pm and the presentation will begin at 6:00 pm.  Please RSVP to RVNA at 203-438-5555.

About The Speaker

Dr. Krista Katers received her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She completed her residency at Aurora Healthcare in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She is board certified in pharmacotherapy, and is currently a clinical pharmacy specialist at Norwalk Hospital.
