Ridgefield Artists Win Top Prizes at Rowayton Arts Center

Ridgefield Artists win top prizes at Rowayton Arts Center at the opening reception this past Sunday.

Angela Liptack and Ann Kromer, both of Ridgefield, each took 1st place awards. Ms. Liptack for “Bay View 1,” Mixed Media and Ms. Kromer for “Cross Country,” Acrylics.  “Treasure Seekers,” an oil painting by Peter Kinseley (Rowayton) won Best in Show. Mr. Kinseley also received the Mavis Fenner Memorial Award of $250.

Mayor Harry Rilling of Norwalk was there to present the “Mayor’s Choice Award” to Brian Kammerer (Rowayton) for his oil painting, “Winter Tide-Point of Rocks/ Wee Burn Beach Club.” The exhibition runs through October 25.  Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday: 12-5pm, Sunday: 1-4 pm. (Closed Monday.)
