More than 1K start Thanksgiving by running in Ridgefield Turkey Trot

More than one thousand athletes participated in the 34rd Annual Turkey Trot, a popular event that benefits Ridgefield Boys & Girls Club.

What a difference a year makes- last year we ran on snow-covered ground and today, well, it was pretty darn perfect running weather!

Ridgefield Boys & Girls Club member, 6th grader, Tess Williams kicked off the race by singing The National Anthem.

Smiles, laughter and enthusiasm warmed the hearts of all who gathered together today for yet another successful Turkey Trot.

The fun continued beyond the finish line. Tazza was buzzing with adrenaline high locals who gathered with family and friends for post-race camaraderie.

Congratulations to Ridgefielder Terra Briody (once again) was first female finisher with a time of 18:43 and to Ridgefielder Bryan Kovalsky who finished first of male runners with a time 16:31.

Thank you to The Boys & Girls Club for organizing this beloved community event. What a great way to begin Thanksgiving!
