Three Ridgefield seniors competed in the Footlocker Northeast Championship race in Van Cortland Park this past Saturday, November 28. The top 10 finishers of this race have the chance to move on to the Footlocker National Cross Country Championship race, to be held on December 12, 2015 in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA.
Gabe Altopp of Ridgefield High School ran a 15:34 landing him 9th place and a trip to San Diego for the National Championship. Ian Mickool of RHS also ran on Saturday finishing in 105th place with a time of 17:21. Jenna Gasparrini of Immaculate High School finished 31st in the Girl’s Championship with a time of 19:11.
