Services planned for 51 year old Karen Borrello of Ridgefield

Karen D. Borrello

Karen (nee DiMuro) Borrello, 51, of Ridgefield, CT, formerly of Tarrytown, NY, wife of Anthony P. Borrello, died on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY.

Karen was born in Tarrytown, NY on May 23, 1964, to Patrick and Lucy (nee Ricciardella) DiMuro. She graduated from Transfiguration School and Sleepy Hollow High School. She went on to earn her degree from Assumption College and then her Master’s degree from Pace University. She was employed by DPD Builders, of Bedford, NY. Karen was a resident of Ridgefield for the past seventeen years after living in Tarrytown all her life. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton Church of Ridgefield, CT.

Karen held her family and friends in the highest regard and enjoyed all the time she spent with them. She loved to scrapbook, bake, and organize. She loved to put her thoughtfulness and attention to detail into any occasion for the people she loved. Her greatest happiness was spending time with her loving husband and two beautiful children.

In addition to her husband of twenty years and parents, she is survived by a daughter, Emily M. Borrello of Ridgefield; a son, Anthony P. Borrello of Ridgefield; a sister, Geralyn (Brian) Balthazard of Tarrytown, NY and an aunt, Lucy A. DiMuro of Sleepy Hollow, NY. She is also survived by her in-laws, Anthony and Patricia Borrello and sisters in law, Lisa (Glen) Campbell and Susan (Kenny) Walters. In addition, Karen is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her so much. Karen is predeceased by her grandmother, Marie DiMuro and nephew, Brian J. Balthazard.

The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield, CT on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 520 Ridgebury Rd,; Ridgefield, CT.
Interment will follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY.
