Ridgefield Library Unveils Lyme Disease Series

The Ridgefield Library is now featuring a new exhibit which portrays some of Ridgefield residents presently battling Lyme Disease. The underlying initiative to the exhibit, Building a Model Community Response to End Lyme Disease, is meant to support Lyme prevention and encourage a deeper understanding of the illness within the community.

New York City photographer Amanda Crommet utilizes her talents to capture the strong and unique personalities behind the disease, bringing both insight and light into a grim reality.

One of the portraits features Ridgefield resident Lane Berisford, whose personal quote mentions her own epiphanies about the realities and seriousness of Lyme. Her stunning, beautifully lit portrait stands as an example of the enduring optimism and perseverance seen in patients of this disease.

The photo series was unveiled on May 25th and will be shown until June 30th, so make sure to stop by and reflect on the lovely artwork.
