Ridgefield Library Announces Writing Contest

Adult Writing Contest Now Open

Adults and teens are invited to demonstrate their literary skills with original stories across five categories. Submissions will be accepted through September 1st.

Adults and teens are invited to submit original short stories ‐‐ 3,000 words or less ‐‐ as part of the inaugural Ridgefield Library writing contest. Stories will be considered in five categories: Suspense/Mystery; Romance; Historical; Science Fiction/Fantasy; and a general category for other submissions. One consistent criteria for all submissions: each story must in some way incorporate the Ridgefield Library into the narrative. Submission deadline is September 1st. Winners will be announced at a special event at the Library on October 1st.
