Erin Nazzaro Art Exhibition Opens at KTM Carriage Barn November 4

The work of Georgetown, CT, artist Erin Nazzaro will be on view in a solo show at Keeler Tavern Museum’s Carriage Barn, starting Friday, November 4. “My Inspirations” opens with an artist reception on November 4 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and continues through Sunday, November 13. Ms. Nazzaro’s works have appeared in numerous solo and group shows, and in exhibitions at The New Britain Museum of American Art, Silvermine Arts Center and The National Arts Club, the venue for the prestigious Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club Annual Juried Exhibition. It also has been featured at galleries in Connecticut, New York and New Mexico.

Nazzaro has created new pieces for “My Inspirations,” including photographs, pastels and watercolors, as well as acrylics. “My work is inspired by many visits to the American Southwest and to Latin America,” says Nazzaro. “I come away from communities in Mexico and Argentina with my head bursting with vibrant images of the people, their beautiful families and the land they live and work on. I try to convey both the strength and gentleness of people who live close to the earth.” Animal imagery, from cattle to crows, is another theme in her current work.

After the reception, show hours are: Saturday and Sunday, November 5 and 6, 1:00-4:00 p.m.; Wednesday, November 9, 1:00-4:00 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, November 12 and 13, 1:00-4:00 p.m. Admission is free. A portion of the artist’s sales will go towards the restoration of the historic Carriage Barn, which was designed and built by renowned architect Cass Gilbert in 1910.
