Towns throughout Connecticut are experiencing travel issues and power outages as high winds knock down trees and limbs, in many cases, taking powerlines down with them. Eversource is on the scene now and hope to restore power quickly and safely. They wrote this on their Facebook Page:
"Winds are whipping across the state right now and bringing down tree limbs and power lines. Our crews are working hard to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. We appreciate your patience and urge you to report outages online at Eversource.com or at 1-800-286-2000."
There are currently 272 Eversource customers in Ridgefield without power. That number has been rising steadily all morning.
