Ridgefield High School Girls Lacrosse Team Heads to FCIAC Championship!

The Ridgefield High School Girls Lacrosse‎ Team beats New Canaan in FCIAC Semifinals tonight and now heads to the FCIAC Girls Lacrosse Championship final for the first time in team history! The Tigers took on New Canaan at Norwalk High School and were victorious with a 14-11 win!

The RHS Girls Lacrosse Team wrote on their Facebook Page, "EPIC. HISTORIC. Tonight's win against behemoth New Canaan is a mind-blowing, program-elevating event. New Canaan is one of the greats; one of the programs Ridgefield looks up to with respect and aspires to emulate. Tonight Ridgefield Girls Lacrosse reached new heights. These girls. These athletes. They played with their whole hearts and with fire in their souls and, in doing so, accomplished two firsts in program history: defeating New Canaan and punching a ticket to the FCIAC Championship. Words can hardly express the team's elation, the parents' pride, and the gratitude we all feel toward the alumni upon whose shoulders the 2017 Tigers stand to reach toward the moon and beyond. Just Wow."

Congratulations girls! #RidgefieldProud
