For the first time in Scotland Elementary School history, the 5th grade orchestra went to Fantastic Festivals under the direction of Alexandria McGowan.
The students received a rating of Gold at the end of their performance of Gaelic Castle and Rhythm 'N' Blues by Soon Hee Newbold. At the end of the festival, the adjudication rate the three best elementary orchestras in the division and Scotland Elementary came in 2nd place.
