Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance (RCD) performed at the Festival of Trees on Sunday, benefiting Ann’s Place, nonprofit based in Danbury that provides a host of support for cancer patients and their families.
The Festival was held at the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza in Danbury, CT. This annual performance is one of Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance’s many community engagements as a 501©(3) nonprofit organization.
Twenty dancers represented RCD with Nutcracker excerpts by Alexander Glaz, including Rory Dulecki as the Soldier Doll.
Jazz Repertory Ensemble premiered Danielle Marie Fusco’s “Let it Snow” and her junior version Apprentice Jazz Ensemble portrayed grumpy elves in a comical display.
Guest choreographer Edgar Cortes set excerpts from his own professional company’s “Unicornius” on the Apprentice Contemporary Ensemble.
RCD donated a tree designed and executed by Lauren Fine and RCD dancers as part of the festival’s raffle.
