Reebok Chooses Empowering Ridgefield Resident as Calendar Model

Here's another reason to love December. Megan Searfoss.

Ridgefield resident and local business owner, Megan Searfoss is an athletic calendar girl. The month of December, to be exact.

Last week, Searfoss was stunned to find out that Reebok had chosen her to be part of their 2018 Empowering Women Calendar. She headed to New York City on Friday, December 8 for a photo shoot where she joined a select group of like-minded women from around the country.

Searfoss, who owns Ridgefield Running Company and newly opened Everywear on Main, says that it was her brainchild Run Like A Mother, a race turned lifestyle, that attracted Reebok to her.

Reebok told Searfoss, “As a women’s first brand, Reebok will evolve this tradition with this year’s calendar revolving around the theme of inspiring, uplifting, and empowering women like yourself.”

While Searfoss says that she can’t divulge all of the calendar details (just yet) she did tell us that the women selected all shared a common mission - to inspire and empower movement in women and children.

Searfoss brought Run Like A Mother to Ridgefield ten years ago. What started as a Mother’s Day run, quickly grew into a national brand. She opened Ridgefield Running Company in 2014 and sister activewear store, Everywear on Main in 2017. Searfoss is the author of See Mom Run- Every Mother's Guide to Getting Fit and Running Her First 5K.

Congratulations Megan! You make Ridgefield proud! We love December!
