Wanted: Responsible, Dependable Animal Care Volunteer for WEDNESDAYS

This Woodcock Nature Center is looking for a reliable, responsible, long-term volunteer to help with the care of our non-releasable animals for WEDNESDAYS ONLY.

Wednesdays are a BIG feeding day for our animals. Aside from preparing salads and mealworms for our animals and maintaining clean, healthy tanks, the Wednesday volunteer is also responsible for driving to the pet store and picking up our weekly order of feeder fish and crickets. Must be willing to get your hands dirty and be fine with handling live worms and insects.  Attention to detail is critical.

Animal Care Volunteers need to be reliable in their commitment. Their presence is crucial in making sure our animals get proper care. If your schedule is unpredictable or if you have situations in your life at the present moment that may cause you to be frequently absent, this is not a job for you.

Our animals include turtles, frogs, lizards, snakes, insects, hawks, and owls.

If this is the job for you or you would like more information, please email WoodcockNatureCenter@yahoo.com.
