HamletHub Adds Mount Kisco as Latest City in Its Roster of Hyperlocal News Sitescha

Mount Kisco, NY July 7, 2014 – HamletHub.com a pioneering network of 'hyperlocal' websites providing locally originated news and information to communities has launched its newest hyperlocal site for the Mount Kisco, NY area, the company announced today.

With a full roster of sites covering most of Fairfield County Connecticut, and Westchester County New York HamletHub has added Mount Kisco, NY to its roster of hyperlocal news sites, and is proud to announce that Mount Kisco native, Chad Weiss has agreed to become the editor of Mount Kisco HamletHub.

"We are thrilled to welcome our neighbors in the vibrant New York State village of Mount Kisco to HamletHub," said Ms. Ducey. "There are so many great people and businesses in the Mount Kisco community who deserve to have their very own forum to share neighborhood news, stories, ideas, events and best business practices. Chad will help make Mount Kisco a better place." Ducey adds.

HamletHub launched the first local news "Hub" in Ridgefield in 2009 with a mission to make the world better, one HamletHub at a time. HamletHub won a prestigious Connecticut Press Club Award in 2012, 2013 & and took home 6 awards in 2014 including Best Website.

Hamlethub sites differ from other media outlets based on their focus on the needs of the community — its residents as well as the organizations and businesses that make up the fabric of the town. Mount Kisco HamletHub offers a unique opportunity for these groups to have a voice in their community, either by submitting articles to the site as a local resident, or by participating in the site's unique Article Membership service for businesses, giving them an unprecedented opportunity to tell their story and to differentiate themselves in the marketplace.

Chad's family moved to Mount Kisco when he was four years old. He attended West Patent Elementary School and Fox Lane Middle and High School. Now living in Tarrytown, Chad maintains a close relationship with the town that his parents still call home. In 2011 he opened Westchester Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness in Mount Kisco along with Brandon Durham (who has been a school owner and instructor in Bedford Hills since 1996). Chad believes that his diverse career background, which includes both working in finance and as a stand-up comedian, will allow him to bring a unique perspective to the town he loves.

Readers, contributors and advertisers will benefit from a direct line to their neighbors, and the organizations, who are the heart of the community that make Mount Kisco a cultural gem.
