Find out why Wooster Head of School encourages campus visits

Matt Byrnes, Head of School at Wooster, encourages students and their families to visit the Wooster Campus. Find out why. Then, register for Wooster School Open House on October 18

I often talk to parents in Fairfield and Westchester counties about the experiences that their children are having in school and hear the word "fine." The program is fine. The kids are fine. It's OK. It's good. It's almost as if the standard for success is simply not having a bad experience in school.

At Wooster School, fine isn't good enough for us. We are committed to making learning experiences personal, meaningful and visible for our students every day. Our classes are small so that our teachers can personalize learning and inquiry for individual students. We design experiences that make thinking visible, so we know when learning is happening. We challenge our students academically, but also want them to be happy, engaged, and eager to be here. And, if the experience for a student isn't "great" we are not satisfied.

When the parents of Wooster students talk about their experience they use words like happy, excited, and meaningful. That's better than fine.

If you'd like to see some examples of how we help students make meaning every day, please come visit us.

Wooster School will hold an "All School Open House" on Saturday, October 18, 2014 beginning at 9:00 AM
