High Holy Days Schedule for Temple Shearith Israel

Temple Shearith Israel in Ridgefield wishes to share their High Holy Days Schedule.

HIGH HOLY DAYS SCHEDULE:

Wednesday, September 24 - Erev Rosh Hashanah –

7:30 p.m. – Erev Rosh Hashana services and followed by a special Oneg celebration.

Thursday, September 25 - First day of Rosh Hashanah –

· 9:00 a.m. – The early service is tailored for families with children in elementary school.

· 11:30 a.m. – Service is more traditional in format and content.

Please note: Both the 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. services are open to worshipers of all ages.

· 9:00 a.m. – A fun, interactive service for children ages three to six years old. Drop off is at 8:45 a.m. Sign up required.

Friday, September 26 – Second day of Rosh Hashanah

10:00 a.m. – Second day service followed by Tashlich at 1:00 p.m.

Friday, October 3 - Kol Nidre Service -

7:30 p.m. - Yom Kipper evening worship

Saturday, October 4 - Yom Kippur –

· 9:00 a.m. – The early service is tailored for families with children in elementary school.

· 11:30 a.m. – Service is more traditional in format and content.

Please note: Both the 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. services are open to worshipers of all ages.

· 9:00 a.m. – A fun, interactive service for children ages three to six years old. Drop off is at 8:45 a.m. Sign up required.

· 3:30 p.m. – Afternoon service

· 4:30 p.m. – Yizkor memorial service

· 5:30 p.m. – Neilah service

· 6:45 p.m. – Break Fast – Sign up required.

Parking and Shuttle Bus Service -

Parking will be available at Westmoreland and Jesse Lee Memorial Church on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur. A shuttle bus will run between Jesse Lee Church and the Temple. There is no shuttle bus from Westmoreland; a walking path from the Westmoreland lot leads to TSI.

Babysitting will be available for children ages six and younger. Sign up required.

TEMPLE SHEARITH ISRAEL, 46 Peaceable Street, Ridgefield, welcomes all who wish to participate in Jewish life. In this spirit, TSI's doors are open throughout the year to anyone wishing to join in worship or attend activities. However, due to financial realities and space restrictions, worshipers need to obtain a ticket to attend High Holy Day services, except for children under 13 years of age. The temple provides members with tickets and makes tickets for relatives available for purchase.
