Happy 10 year anniversary to Ridgefield's Tutoring Club!

The Tutoring Club of Ridgefield is proud to celebrate ten years in business this month. Since it’s opening in 2004, originally at Copps Hill Plaza, the Tutoring Club has moved into the center of town to 431 Main Street.

Maria Markus, owner and director, said, “Our new location in the CVS plaza since 2011 has made us even more accessible to everyone.”  In the past decade, the Tutoring Club has helped thousands of area students achieve success in daily schoolwork, SAT/ACT preparation, and the college application process. Highly experienced and dedicated tutors work with students from pre-kindergarten to college levels. “Following our students’ upward progress and knowing that we participated in their success are the true rewards,” said Ms. Markus.

In addition to providing tutoring in all subjects, the Tutoring Club is a strong participant in Ridgefield community activities. Ms. Markus, a resident of Ridgefield, is also a member of the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce and the Ridgefield Youth Committee. As an active member of the community, she has initiated a number of programs to benefit local students. For the past six years, The Tutoring Club has given college scholarships to deserving Ridgefield High School students.  It has also donated funds and free tutoring to members of the Ridgefield Little League, RHS sports clubs, all town schools, and many other charitable organizations. “We feel privileged to be able to contribute to the Ridgefield community in so many positive ways.” Ms. Markus said.

"We want to thank all the members of the community who have supported us in so many ways, and those who have entrusted us with their childrens’ academic welfare,” added Markus.
