Wooster School’s Prospect Program Begins Its Fourth Year

Wooster School’s Prospect Program is entering its 4th year. The Prospect Program serves students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades with language based learning disabilities that can be remediated through intensive instruction and a multi-sensory curriculum.

Wooster’s Prospect Program is thriving. With only two students when its doors opened back in 2011, the Prospect Program now has 18 students, who are all flourishing both academically and socially.

The mission of the Wooster’s Prospect Program is to provide a personalized educational experience that gives students the academic and social skills they need to further schooling as they approach adulthood. We believe that there is no "one size fits all" solution for remediating learning disabilities. With a clear emphasis on explicit, direct instruction and diagnostic teaching, our highly skilled teachers and staff uniquely tailor instruction to unequivocally meet the needs of each student.

The Prospect Program has newly renovated space on the Wooster campus. This allows for seamless integration for the Prospect students in to campus life. “We are energized by being part of the fabric of main campus life,” remarked Dr. Stephanie Bell, Head of the Prospect Program.

An information session will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 9:30 – 11:00 am, for parents and professionals to learn more about Wooster’s Prospect Program. To RSVP, please contact Director of Prospect and Bridge Admissions, Jordana Levine, Psy.D. at Jordana.Levine@woosterschool.org or 203-730-6725.
