Celebrate the Holidays at Keeler Tavern Museum
The Holiday season is quickly arriving at the Keeler Tavern Museum, located at 132 Main Street, Ridgefield. Christmas Luncheons have been a holiday tradition for several decades and for many guests the start of there seasonal celebrations.
Christmas Luncheons, that KTM tradition are returning Tuesday, December 9th through Saturday, December 13th. Served in the elegant Garden House decorated for the holiday season it is the perfect place to meet with friends, family or business associates to share a delightful meal and celebrate the season.
Enjoy chicken with lemon caper sauce, KTM’s own cranberry chutney, wild rice, garden salad, desert, and coffee or tea. Wine will be available. There will be two seatings each day: 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Cost per person is $30 by prepaid reservations paid by credit card, check or cash. The Holiday Boutique with a splendid selection of decorative and gift items to give and to enjoy will be open in the Keeler Tavern Museum building the following hours with talented crafters included. Monday to Monday, December 1st to December 8th, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Tuesday to Saturday, December 9th to 13th 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM. It will also be open Sunday, December 14th, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Enjoy the decorated rooms in the old Inn, warm yourself at the roaring fire in the large Taproom fireplace on your way to the Gilbert Dining room for a delightful shopping experience.
In addition Tina Surges, Ridgefield artist, will be exhibiting her paintings in the carriage barn. They will be for sale as will prints and greeting cards. The exhibit will be open December 9th to 13th from 11 AM to 3 PM.
A Holiday Cocktail Party will take place in the Cass Gilbert Garden House on Friday, December 6th from 7 PM to 10 PM. Enjoy a festive events with fancy hors d’oeuvres, live music and a lovely fire in the beautifully decorated room. Cost per couple $60, single $35. Tina Sturges’ art work will be on view in the barn.

Tina Sturges, Ridgefield artist, will be exhibiting her paintings in the now heated Carriage Barn during Christmas luncheon week. Her paintings will be for sale as will prints and greeting cards, many with holiday themes.
An opening reception with the artist will be held in the Cass Gilbert Carriage Barn Sunday, December 7th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Hours of the exhibit are Tuesday to Saturday, December 9th to 13th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A percentage of proceeds will be used to benefit the continued restoration of the historic Cass Gilbert Carriage Barn.
‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, a popular event for the younger set, will be enjoyed in the Garden House Thursday, December 18th from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The famous Christmas poem by Clement Moore will be read to the youngsters in front of a cheerful fire, Christmas carols will be sung and each child will make a craft to take home. Each child will also receive a 4” x 6” color photo. Refreshments will be served. Cost per child is $20. To make reservations see below.
