Shop Local... Ridgefield has many good choices!!

Don't head to the mall or those big box stores... There are plenty of reasons to shop local this weekend. 

It's Ridgefield Library Days at Books on the Common. Just show your Ridgefield Library card at the register during Thanksgiving weekend {Friday, November 28 (10:00 AM - 8:00 PM); Saturday, November 29 (9:30 AM - 6:00 PM); Sunday, November 30 (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM)}, and 15% of the proceeds of your purchase will be donated to the Library. On Saturday, four local authors are volunteering as part of Indies First at Books on the Common.  From 12 noon to 4 p.m., these authors will be signing books, offering suggestions and generally helping give back to independent booksellers that support them throughout the year.

The Candlelight Shoppe is turning 50 this weekend, and offering discounts on robes, pj's, gowns, sleep shirts, tops, sweaters, dresses and jewelry.  This gem in Ridgefield moved to its current location at 407 Main Street in 1992, ten years after current owner, Pam Fitzpatrick took-over the shop from her mother, Alda Carboni, who at 95 years of age still lives in Ridgefield.  "We are proud to have been a part of the Ridgefield community for 50 years and are most grateful to our loyal customers and friends." says Pam.

Craig's Fine Jewelry is open until 7 p.m. TONIGHT for the annual Main Street Tree Lighting.
