Amphibian Migration & Vernal Pool Study is April 18

A typical amphibian migration takes place near the middle of March; however, Mother Nature has different plans this year. According to the current weather reports, there is a possibility that the migration will occur this Friday night with a forecast of rain and temperatures over 40 degrees in the evening. However, with the lack of melt in the woodland hibernation areas, there is no guarantee.

The Woodcock Nature Center has changed the date of the Great Amphibian Migration program and Vernal Pool Study from Saturday, April 4, to Saturday, April 18, to ensure a more productive and active study.

Pre-registration is required. Please call 203-762-7280 or email naturalist@woodcocknaturecenter.org for registration.
