New Owner & Chef at Ridgefield's Fifty Coins Restaurant

Larry Debany announced last week that he has sold his Ridgefield restaurant, Fifty Coins, located at 426 Main Street, to Fairfield resident and longtime restaurateur, Tom Serino.

Debany continues to own and operate 850 Degrees, a wood-fired pizza restaurant which is located behind Fifty Coins at 424R Main Street.

Serino, a trained chef with 35 years industry experience. has owned three other restaurants all in the New Haven area and most recently was General Manager and COO at Ellington Ridge Country Club in Ellington, CT.

Working alongside Serino at Fifty Coins is Ridgefield native Erik J Burr. “He is the executive chef, manager and my partner in all aspects of operating Fifty Coins,” explains Serino. “Eric looks forward to reconnecting with his many friends in the Ridgefield area,” he adds.

The duo plan on launching a new menu in the near future.  “While the menu will be similar to what patrons of Fifty Coins are use to, we will be adding a more current sensibility to the menu,” says Serino. While the restaurant will remain very family friendly, Serino and Burr will add some new menu items for the adult customers.

“We will be supportive of the local community and we look forward to meeting many new friends in the coming months. We will listen to our customers and meet there need while providing great food and service,” assures Serino.
