Freshman Fun Day & Matriculation Ceremony at Lauralton Hall to Welcome Class of 2019

Lauralton Hall proudly welcomes their 111th class, the Class of 2019

There are several days planned to help new students conquer their first day jitters. “These days are designed to help the freshmen students become acclimated to the school and meet one another,” said Kathy Shine, Director of Enrollment Management. "The goal of the planned events are for the students to have a great time participating in fun activities here while learning about the school they'll start attending on September 8th.”

Here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store for the Class of 2019:

Freshman Fun Day, held August 31, is aimed at giving the Class of 2019 some special first memories of Lauralton Hall as our newest students have the campus entirely to themselves for a fun day of activities and bonding at Lauralton. As the VIP’s enter the building the party begins! It’s going to be a party for the stars in true Hollywood fashion.  There are events planned throughout the day that are intended to help encourage friendships and comradery.

Adam Kreiger Adventure Program on September 1 provides groups with a series of sequenced team-based challenges in a safe environment to promote leadership, confidence and team building.

Lauralton Hall’s Matriculation Ceremony is planned for September 2. This event formally inducts the Class of 2019 into the Lauralton Hall community. Parents, relatives and friends join faculty, staff, alumnae and trustees in welcoming the new students to the Lauralton family. In keeping with the unique Lauralton tradition, the new students march in to the ceremony accompanied by the bagpipes and drums of the Fairfield Gaelic Pipe Band; the same band that will accompany them as they leave the school after their commencement ceremony.

Meet Your Teacher Day on September 3, always promises to be an exciting day. It’s the first day the new LH students really begin to settle into their new community. It is their first chance to meet with their fabulous teachers and find out what will be expected of them to get them on the right track to begin their academic journey.

And...they’re ready! The First Day of School is September 8.

Lauralton Hall will hold an OPEN HOUSE event on October 4 from 1 to 3pm. Transfer students are welcome. The school will hold their Entrance Exam on October 17 and October 24 beginning at 8:00 am. Scholarships and financial aid are available.
