Genoa Deli will remain closed this week due to renovations

Well, it looks like Genoa Deli & Pizza will be closed for more than a few days (as we posted last week).

The owners, Rocco and Della D'Arcangelo along with their son Louie, were hopeful they would open for business today, but workers at the popular Italian deli say work will not be complete until sometime next week (fingers crossed). A sign taped to the door reads, "Sorry for the inconvenience, due to renovations, we will be closed until further notice."

Genoa is still catering! Please call 203-470-1811 to place your orders.

If you're a fan of Arthur Ave, Genoa is as close to the Bronx as you'll get without jumping on the Cross Bronx Parkway.

When they open their doors again, Genoa will unveil a brand new look with more tables, additional food options and public bathrooms.

Take a look at the photos and let your imagination wander.
