This past weekend marked a great achievement for artists’ co-op, Ally Bally Bee. While tracking recent inventory, founder Morag Grassie realized that the local business has offered more than 10,000 handcrafted products for sale.
Ally Bally Bee is unlike any store in the area. It is a marketplace for handcrafted creations including jewelry, accessories, clothing, kids things, art and much more! What makes Ally Bally Bee so unique is the focus on local artists, including products made by over 60 artists from surrounding towns.
“The diversity and quality of items that artists bring to Ally Bally Bee never fails to amaze me,” says Morag Grassie, “but 10,000 unique items is an incredible landmark.” Grassie details her joy in discovering that one of her favorite new products, a brushed cotton pinafore dress, was item number 10,000 in the computer-based inventory system.
Grassie grew even happier when noticing the beautiful creations that surrounded the 10,000th item: Redding artist Pam Elkow’s fused glass creations, Norwalk’s Go Lightly Clothing and unique jewelry by Fairfield’s Jessica Morgan, Wilton’s Emmy Starr, and Danbury’s Justine Aspinwall.
Located at 45 Ethan Allen Hwy, Ridgefield (next to Tusk and Cup on Rt 7 across from the Branchville train station), Ally Bally Bee is open 10-6pm Monday through Saturday and 12-4pm on Sunday.
