Cucumber & Chamomile Launches Dog Products & Donates to ROAR in November

Cucumber & Chamomile Debuts TeaPups Service and Products for DOGS! November Launch Will Benefit Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR)

Looking for another way to spend time with furry friends? Now, you can sit outside in the fresh fall air and sip a warm cup of tea, indulge in a warm handmade scone and your dog can join you. Ridgefield's local Tea Shop at Cucumber & Chamomile now caters to TeaPups, offering a new tea service and line of products just for dogs. 

Meredith Mulhearn, owner of The Tea Shop at Cucumber & Chamomile, and her daughter are huge animal lovers. When asked how she came up with the idea, she explained, "When I first opened the shop I would put out a water bowl for our local canine friends, but no one ever brought them by. I realized I should really have dog biscuits, but thought it would be so much cuter to have special scones for dogs. I approached Elizabeth Eckerdt of Elizabella's who lovingly prepares our weekly scones. She was open-minded about the recipe I researched and gave it a whirl. They were a success! But then I felt that if their owners got to enjoy tea with their scones, our canine friends deserved the same. So, I started researching and discovered that there was a company in the UK that made blends of tea exclusively for dogs. I called them up, convinced them to ship to the U.S. and the rest is history!"

The Tea Shop at Cucumber and Chamomile also offers pouches of doggie tea to take home, including blends for digestion, anxiety, fresh breath, skin & coat and seniors, as well as a version that is designed to prevent lawn burns called Hap-PEE Lawns. And there are even herbal treats to compliment the tea. As a nutrition therapist, Mulhearn wants people to know that you can give your dog treats and tea that are not only delicious, but support the health of your dog.

C&C has partnered with Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR) and will be having a formal launch of TeaPups the weekend of November 14 & 15, during business hours (Sat 10am-2pm, Sun 11am-2pm). Bring your pup by to sample a "pup" of tea and explore our new product line. During the launch, stock up on holiday gifts for the dogs in your life and we will donate 10% of all purchases to our friends at ROAR!
