September Launch: School of Rock Ridgefield

New Canaan resident Mariola Galavis will open her second School of Rock in Ridgefield, Connecticut on Saturday, September, 17th at 2pm. Join her for the grand opening and experience live performances, the ceremonial guitar smashing, meet the staff and receive special discounts and free trial lessons.

School of Rock is the world leader in performance-based music education. Their mission is to inspire the world to rock on stage and in life.  They teach guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocals though a performance-based approach which teaches students to play rock music in a unique and interactive way.

The mission of the Performance Programs is to transfer students' abilities from the lesson room and enable them to perform confidently on stage to an audience. In addition to refining their talents and proficiency as musicians, students learn important life lessons from being part of a band - such as: teamwork, collaboration, commitment and having fun.

Performance Program students take a 45-min private lesson each week and are cast in songs during 3-hour rehearsals each week. This is all in preparation for the BIG SHOW. After 12-13 weeks, students are nurtured into rock stars and perform a blowout concert in front of a live audience!

Students from local schools have performed in legendary venues such as the Highline Ballroom, Hard Rock Cafe Times Square and at our Ridgefield Playhouse. The Performance Program is year-round. The Fall sessions will start mid September.
