Ridgefield Fred Astaire Dance Studio wins top honors in dance competition

The students and professionals of Ridgefield Fred Astaire Dance Studio danced their hearts out at the Fred Astaire 51th Colonial Classic Interregional Competition held at Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, CT on August 18 - 20.

The hard work and dedication of more than 25 students, from Ridgefield and surrounding towns, and the staff representing the studio during the three days of continuous dancing brought home the following recognitions:

  •              New England Top Studio and Super School Awards
  •              1st Place Top Male Teacher & 8th Place Top Female Teacher Awards
  •              6th Place Top Male Student Award
  •              2nd Place Top Amateur couple
  •              1st Place in 4 Professional divisions
  •              1st Place in 4 Professional/Amateur divisions
  •              2nd Place in 2 Professional/Amateur divisions
  •              3rd Place in 3 Professional/Amateur divisions

Studio Owners, Morten and Mira Jensen, expressed: “Thanks to everyone who are a part of our family and for trusting us with this journey of yours. Our team has truly become the dream team, and it is all because we share mutual goals and passion for what we do, teachers and students alike.”
