The Historical Ridgefield Train Station Takes Shape on Prospect Street

"A little piece of Ridgefield history being restored," Margaret Price wrote on Facebook today.

Price, the owner of Ridgefield Supply, is referring to the Ridgefield Train Station. The old depot, functional until 1962, is being restored to its original Victorian-era style, part of the redevelopment plan for Price's 4.5-acre property on Prospect Street that houses Ridgefield Supply.

"The decorative moldings that were hidden for almost 100 years have been restored and are being placed on the Train Station at Ridgefield Supply today," explains Price. "We put the brackets on last week. We can't wait to open it to the public early next year," she adds.
