Village Tavern set to open on January 23 in downtown Ridgefield

Seasoned restaurateurs and renowned Chefs Bruno DiFabio and Germano Minin, together with Ridgefield resident Joe Chelednik, will soon bring The Village Tavern to Ridgefield’s Main Street.

The restaurant will open on January 23 in the space that formerly housed Dog and Pony, a location DiFabio, a longtime resident, calls “the gateway to the greatest town in the country.”

The Village Tavern boasts moderately-priced New American food as well as cuisine inspired from around the globe, in a warm tavern-style atmosphere. Sunday patrons can expect a one-of-a-kind “buffet-style” brunch with a Bloody Mary Bar and bottomless mimosas.

DiFabio says The Village Tavern will be chef-driven. “It’s all about the food. The chefs and owners will touch every plate,” he explains. His partner in the kitchen, Minin has earned accolades and industry respect as a 2014 winner on the Food Network reality TV series “Chopped” where DiFabio served as Judge.  He will soon relocate from Santa Monica California to Ridgefield with wife and family.

The restaurant is currently hiring all kitchen-staff positions. Interested? Contact Germano 475-322-0224.
