STEAM Education in the Wooster School Makerspace on January 21

STEAM education comes in many different shapes, sizes and forms. Although we follow the same Engineering and Design Process to arrive at our goals, our materials and tools vary. We introduce students to a range of technology available to them, from electronics to hand tools, so they can become comfortable with them all. Once familiar, students have opportunities to utilize them in future projects.

Open Makerspace sessions are project-based learning days created to explore new technology together to become familiar with making, an integral part of learning.

Projects during the session will be planned, and hopefully finished by the end of the session, while still challenging. All projects are hands-on! In order to keep our projects interactive, the size of each session is kept small.

Models of Wooster students' work, as well as other technology will be set up and ready for play, in addition to the planned project.

Join us at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 21, 2017 in the Wooster School Makerspace.
