More than 10 Trees Down in Ridgefield Due to High Winds

First Selectman Rudy Marconi says that crew are in town working to restore power in Ridgefield. "We have about a dozen trees that have come down in town, not all involving wires," he says.

Ridgefield Eversource customers without power at this time totals 279, 195 of whom live on Nod Road. "It could be a transformer, so once they get a new transformer up, that will restore power there [to Nod Road]," says Marconi.

Winds are expected to die down this afternoon and, Marconi says, "The trees are being cleaned up quickly."
