Four New Solo Exhibits Open at The Aldrich on Sunday, March 5

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum will celebrate the opening of four new solo exhibitions: Beth Campbell: My Potential Future Past, Suzanne McClelland: Just Left Feel Right, William Powhida: After the Contemporary, and Kay Rosen: H Is for House, on Sunday, March 5 from 2 to 5 pm. This event is free and open to the public.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the exhibiting artists and Museum curators, take an expert-led tour, and participate in family art-making activities. See how Suzanne McClelland’s work mines the way communities speak; how Beth Campbell exploits the “what ifs,” channeling those life choices that shape who we think we are and who we want to be; how the words and phrases in Kay Rosen’s paintings can embody the thing they are describing; and what today’s art world looks like from the year 2050 in William Powhida’s fictive review.

All-ages art-making activities inspired by the exhibitions and facilitated by Museum educators will take place in The Studio including letter collages, reflective sculptures, and mixed media maps.

Educator-led "mini-tours" will take place in each gallery at the following times:

  • Kay Rosen: 3:00 – 3:15 pm
  • William Powhida: 3:15 – 3:30 pm
  • Beth Campbell: 3:30 – 3:45 pm
  • Suzanne McClelland: 3:45 - 4:00 pm

These four exhibitions will be on view through Monday, September 4, 2017.
